Hi everyone, I’m Hannah! I graduated from Colorado State University in May of 2015 with my B.S. in Nutrition and Food Science and a concentration in Dietetics and Nutrition Management. I chose to take a year off before pursuing a dietetic internship. During that year I worked as a WIC Educator and really fell in love with the WIC program and the participants. I am now a dietetic intern for the Tri-County Health Department in Denver, Colorado, where I am originally from. I was super ecstatic about being able to pursue my career near home! I have an undeniable love for the mountains and when I can I like to escape and go hiking, camping, skiing, etc. My interest in nutrition stems from a life-long obsession with food and health. I have always been a huge advocate for “the healthier option,” although I do encourage splurging every once in a while! My hope as a future dietitian is to promote and teach nutrition internationally. I would like to educate low-income families on the importance of being self-sufficient through gardening and encouraging creativity in making fun, nutritious meals. Now, enough about me! Let’s blog!
